Our privacy policy (the “Policy”) applies to www.sr22-insured.com, and all subdomains thereof and mobile applications offered by us (the “Site”) and the various services that we provide via the Site, including offering insurance quotes (the “Services”). By accessing and/or using the Site and/or by providing information to us by any other means, you agree to the use of that information per the Policy.
We reserve the right to append or update this Policy at any time without notice. Please revisit this page to check for updates. Any changes to this Policy will become effective when we post the revised Policy on the Site. Your use of the Site and/or Services following these changes means that you accept the revised Policy.
- WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The phrases “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” in this Policy refers to information or a combination of information that you provide to us through the Internet or by other means, or that is otherwise obtained, that can be used to uniquely identify you.
We may collect the following categories of personal information about you:
- Identifiers (e.g. name, email address, IP address, postal address, driver’s license number, or other similar identifiers);

- Geolocation data;

- HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

- You Provide it through the Site and Services: We may collect personal information when you provide it through the Site or Services, e.g., when you register or apply to receive quotes or other Services via the Site.
- We Obtain it via Technology as you use the Site and Services: We may collect various information about you using computer technology as you access and use the Site and Services, including browser and device information, and information collected through cookies, pixel tags, scripts, session IDs, beacons and other technologies. You may set your browser to not accept cookies, or to warn you when a cookie is being placed on your computer. If you choose not to accept cookies, however, your ability to navigate the Site or use the Services may be hindered.
- Offline: We may collect personal information from you offline, such as when you place an order over the phone or contact customer service.
- From Other Sources: We may receive your personal information from other sources, such as public databases; joint marketing partners; social media platforms; from people with whom you are friends or otherwise connected on social media platforms, as well as from other third parties.
- HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you use our Site and Services, we and our service providers may use personal information that we have obtained about you as follows:
- To respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests, such as to send you quotes, offers, and advertisements via e-mail, calls or text messages.
- To send administrative information to you, for example, information regarding the Site and Services and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
- To send you marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you (including marketing information from our third-party partners and service providers).
- To personalize your experience on the Site and Services by presenting products and offers tailored to you.
- To allow you to participate in promotions and to administer these activities.
- For our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, developing new products, enhancing, improving or modifying our Site and/or Services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and operating and expanding our business activities.
- If we sell our company or our assets and business to a third party, we may transfer all our data, including all of your personal information to such third-party buyer.
The following categories of your personal information may be shared with Insurance Providers and/or our service providers for our own business purposes

- Inferences drawn from the information described above.
As more fully described in Section 5 below, we will also share certain of your personal information with auto insurance carriers, auto insurance agents, both local and national, or to one of our third-party agent networks if our primary agent network has few or no agents in your zip code (collectively, “Insurance Providers”) or other third parties in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not place any restrictions on how the Insurance Providers or other third parties use such personal information that we provide to them about you. The following categories of your personal information may be shared with such Insurance Providers or other third parties in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration:
- Identifiers;
- Demographics / protected classifications;
- Professional or employment-related information;
- Education information; and
- Commercial information.
- HOW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS USED TO GENERATE INSURANCE QUOTES
Without limiting the general information in Sections 3 and 4 of this Policy, this Section discusses specifically how we use the personal information that you provide us in order to generate insurance quotes for you as part of the Services.
The following personal information may be collected from you by us in order to allow us to provide target quotes:
- Full Name
- Street Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Marital Status
- Vehicle Information
- Driving Information
- Credit information
- Existing insurance information
Once we receive your personal information for a quote, we transmit it electronically to Insurance Providers (as defined in Section 4) who are in our network in order to match your information with Insurance Providers that are likely to provide a quote that will fit your insurance needs.
By clicking “Get Quotes Now” (or any similar function), you authorize and direct SR22-Insured to provide your information to Insurance Providers. You authorize the Insurance Providers to share your information with their vendors, suppliers, and underwriters in order to generate information for your quote(s).
You acknowledge that by submitting a quote request to SR22-Insured, you agree that our service providers and/or the Insurance Providers may obtain a consumer report or credit score from a consumer reporting agency (also known as a credit bureau), and/or a driving record to provide your requested insurance quote or policy information. These reports may be used to provide additional information to determine your rates, eligibility for insurance or be used for updates, renewals or extensions. By clicking submit to obtain a quote, you authorize and agree that you are providing written permission to our service providers and the Insurance Providers to obtain your credit report and/or driving record.
You may hear from Insurance Providers by phone, email or text message who want to provide you with quotes. These Insurance Providers may ask you for additional personal information. We do not place any restrictions on how the Insurance Providers use the personal information that we provide to them about you. We also do not control what the Insurance Providers do with any additional personal information that they collect directly from you. Once your personal information has been provided to an Insurance Provider, either by you or by us, we are not responsible for how that information is protected, maintained or used by the Insurance Provider. Before you provide any personal information directly to any Insurance Provider, you should inquire with them as to their applicable privacy policies and practices.
- TELEPHONE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT COMPLIANCE
When you provide a cell phone number to us via the Site or Services, you give your consent for us (or our affiliates or business partners) to call or text you at this number for purposes of getting an auto insurance quote or purchasing an auto insurance policy. You may be called via an automated dialer, artificial/pre-recorded message or sent a text message to ask for additional information or provide an insurance quote. This consent does not require you to purchase any goods or services to receive a free quote. By providing your cell phone number to us via the Site or Services, you agree to be contacted at that number regardless of whether you or someone else is in possession of the cell phone when the contact is made. You may revoke your consent any time either verbally, by email or via U.S. mail.
- HOW WE USE GOOGLE ADWORDS AND HOW YOU CAN OPT OUT OF COOKIES
SR22-Insured uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise SR22-Insured on third party websites across the internet. When you visit the Site, even if you don’t provide us your information by filling out a form or request for quote, etc, Google AdWords places cookies on your computer, phone or other device that tell Google AdWords that you visited the SR22-Insured Site and even what pages of our Site you visited. Then, when you visit other websites across the internet that are part of the Google Display Network, we can serve you advertisements about the Site and Services. Our advertisements could appear on the Google search results page or on a site operated by an unrelated third party who is part of the Google Display Network. You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ads Settings page at https://adssettings.google.com/notarget. Alternatively, you can opt out of Google’s and other third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/#!/. To clear cookies from your device on a one-time basis, simply choose ‘Settings’ within your browser, go to ‘History’, and select ‘Clear Cookies’ (or other similar functions, depending on your browser).
- SECURITY
We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal information within our organization in compliance with all applicable laws. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us at [email protected].
- HOW TO OPT OUT OF OUR COMMUNICATIONS TO YOU
Every email and text message we send you will have a link to unsubscribe from further communication with us, or you can email us at [email protected] with the subject line UNSUBSCRIBE.
You will need to unsubscribe separately from any email you receive directly from insurance companies or agents who we have contacted on your behalf as part of the shopping/quoting process.
At any time if you wish to opt out of any or all marketing communications from us please email [email protected] with Remove in the subject field. This will remove the email from which the request is sent from our marketing list. If you wish to have your telephone number removed please indicate the number in the body of your email.
For instruction on opting out of the use of cookies and/or the clearing of cookies from your device on a one-time basis, please refer to the section above entitled “How We Use Google Adwords and How You Can Opt of Cookies.”
- AGGREGATED AND DE-IDENTIFIED INFORMATION
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary anywhere else in this policy or in our Terms of Use, we reserve the right to use your personal information in any manner and for any purpose so long as we remove portions of the information that identify you or that could be used to identify you as the source of that information and aggregate it with the information of a group or category of other users, so long as that aggregated information is not linked or reasonably linkable to you. To the extent permitted by and in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, we also reserve the right to use your personal information in a “de-identified” manner, such that it cannot reasonably identify, relate to, describe, be capable of being associated with, or be linked, directly or indirectly, to you.
- WHEN WE MAY DISCLOSE INFORMATION FOR LEGAL REASONS
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary anywhere else in this policy or in our Terms of Use, except where we may be prohibited by applicable law, we may disclose personal information received from any source as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our Terms of Use; (e) to protect our operations; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.
- YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION OR MAKE CORRECTIONS TO ERRORS OR CHANGES IN THIS INFORMATION

You may also request that we update information about you, or request correction of any factual errors that you believe may exist regarding this information. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests. In any event, in no event will we be able to provide you with information about you that is not readily personally identifiable in our records.
- CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a California consumer, you have the following rights:
- The right to know what personal information is being collected about you.
- The right to know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom.
- The right to say no to the sale of personal information.
- The right to access your personal information.
- The right, in certain circumstances, to delete the information you have provided to us.
- The right to equal service and price, even if you exercise your privacy rights.
Requests for Information and Deletion. California consumers have the right to request, up to twice in a 12-month period, that a business that collects personal information about the consumer disclose to the consumer the information listed below for the preceding 12 months.
(1) The categories of personal information it has collected about that consumer.
(2) The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected.
(3) The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information.
(4) The categories of third parties with whom the business shares personal information.
(5) The categories of personal information that the business sold about the consumer and the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, by category or categories of personal information for each third party to whom the personal information was sold.
(6) The categories of personal information that the business disclosed about the consumer for a business purpose.
(7) The specific pieces of personal information it has collected about that consumer.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information. California consumers have the right to opt out of the sale of the consumer’s personal information. To make such a request, please email us at [email protected]
Please note that, as described in Section 5 of this Policy, your submission of personal information and your selection of “Get Quotes Now” (or any similar function) constitutes an express direction and authorization for us to share your personal information with Insurance Providers. This transfer of personal information will generally occur immediately. If you submit a request to opt out of the sale of your personal information, we will comply with such request as required by law; however, any such request will not affect any authorized transfers of your personal information, including any transfers that have already occurred or any transfers that you may later authorize.
Request Verification. Please note all consumer requests described above in this Section 13 are subject to verification and there may be circumstances where we do not honor your request, as permitted under the law. We may verify any request by asking for additional information, including identifying information to verify the identity of the person making the request. You are entitled to make any such request through an authorized agent. If an authorized agent is making the request, such requests are subject to the same verification process mentioned above and we may also ask for additional proof of authorization.
Third Party Marketing. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes in certain instances. - PRIVACY PRACTICES OF THIRD PARTY SITES, INSURANCE PROVIDERS, ADVERTISERS, VENDORS AND OTHERS
The Site may contain advertisements and links to other sites. SR22-Insured is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of any advertisers or linked sites or for the privacy policies or practices of any other third parties, including our service providers or the Insurance Providers. To the extent that you disclose information to any advertisers, linked sites or other third parties, including Insurance Providers, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of information you disclose to them, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before disclosing information to them.
- CHILDREN
The Site and Services are not directed toward children under eighteen years old, and SR22-Insured does not knowingly collect or use information from children under the age of eighteen through the Site or Services without first obtaining parental permission. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected]. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
- CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER
The Services are controlled and operated by us from the United States, and are not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States. Your personal information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using the Services you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country.
